Shiny, Happy Regulators!

Remember a few years ago when the music industry sued Napster out of relevance? (I don't say existence because they're still around, just no one uses them.) Well, the same profession of people who insisted Napster be shut down are now calling for net neutrality, i.e. the paranoid position of NOTHING should be treated any differently on the web. Call me crazy, but I somehow doubt they feel that way about peer-to-peer file sharing. The group call "Rock the Net" boasts such members at REM, Sarah McLachlan, and Barenaked Ladies. Dexys Midnight Runners and Flock of Seagulls could not be reached for comment.

Here is their press release.
