Senate Sees House's Weak 4, Raises Internet Tax ban extension to 7 years

Last night the Senate passed a seven-year extension of the Internet tax moratorium. Also, by taking steps to protect emails from the narrow definition included in the House bill, Senators Wyden, Sununu and McConnell delivered a win for taxpayers.

If only the House would come back with a permanent ban that eliminates the grandfather provisions, the exemption for states with gross receipts taxes and further broadens the definition of Internet access...
