Former Taxpayer Protection Caucus Chairman Wins Special Election

Taxpayers in Louisiana and the rest of the country can rejoice with the election of State Sen. Steve Scalise to Louisiana's First Congressional District. Taxpayer Protection Pledge signer Steve Scalise defeated Gilda Reed by a margin of 75%-22% in this special election to replace, now, Gov. Bobby Jinal.

This is an especially exciting win for taxpayers because Sen. Scalise was the Taxpayer Protection Caucus Chairman in the State House then in the State Senate. He's shown strong dedication to limited government ideals and pro-growth fiscal policies in his time as a State Representative and State Senator. He's sure to continue to fight for the taxpayers in the U.S. House of Representatives.
