In case you didn't hear (due to the fact that Nancy Pelosi shut off CSPAN's cameras perhaps) the House went into August recess today - but the House Republicans didn't. A number of the Republican members remained in the chamber and continued to speak on the energy issue, starkly highlighting Pelosi and the Democrat leadership's refusal to allow a vote on legislation that would help alleviate the gas prices crushing Americans across the country. I was lucky enough to make it over to the Capitol to witness a part of the proceedings and it was truly inspiring. Even better though, myself and several others managed to get video interviews with others who had seen the proceedings and get their opinions on everything that happened.
